LEON Bet New Zealand Terms and Conditions

This page sets out the rules that apply to your player account, your payments, bonuses and the tools available to keep your play under control. It is written as a reference: each section answers one practical question, and figures are given exactly as they appear in the operator's published terms. Where a figure is set in another currency or depends on a specific campaign, this is stated in the section concerned.

1. What These Terms Cover

These terms govern your general use of the services provided under the LEON brand. They apply to:

  • opening, holding and closing a player account;
  • deposits, withdrawals and currency conversion;
  • sports bonuses, casino bonuses and promotions;
  • gameplay in the sportsbook, casino and live casino;
  • responsible gambling controls attached to your account.

They apply across all domains, websites and associated platforms operated or managed by the operator, including this website. One account works across all products. Individual games and bet types also have their own rules, published in the separate Rules and Casino Rules sections, and a specific promotion can add conditions of its own.

You are responsible for checking that online gambling is permitted from your location before you register.

2. Accepting the Terms and Later Updates

Registering an account means you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms.

The terms can be changed at any time. A new version comes into force from the moment it is published on the website. If you keep playing after an updated version has been published, that is treated as your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with a change, you must stop using the services. You can download or print the current version for your own records.

Registration also means you agree to receive important account notices by email, along with newsletters and promotional messages. Promotional emails are optional: you can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time in your account settings.

3. One Account per Player

Each person may register only one player account. Opening a second account is prohibited whether it happens on purpose or by mistake.

If multiple or linked accounts are detected in your name or connected to you:

  • all of those accounts are closed immediately;
  • the reasons for the extra accounts may be investigated;
  • funds held in accounts opened in breach of the terms, including deposits, may be forfeited at the operator's discretion;
  • winnings and bonuses obtained through duplicate or linked accounts are void and may be confiscated.

The operator may, at its discretion, refund the net deposited balance from duplicate accounts after voided winnings and bonuses are deducted. This is a real, enforced rule. If you have forgotten your login details, use password recovery or contact support instead of creating a new account.

Accounts are personal. They cannot be transferred or shared, and transfers of funds, bonuses or other assets between player accounts are prohibited.

4. Verification (KYC)

After registration you must complete identity verification. You send a scanned copy or a colour digital photo of one official document:

  • national ID card;
  • passport;
  • driving licence.

Step-by-step instructions are in your account under Settings, then Account Verification.

Full verification is what allows withdrawals to be processed. Withdrawal requests can be held while security checks are completed, and further documents may be requested if the first ones are not sufficient, for example a photo of you holding your passport or a utility bill as proof of address. You must also keep your personal and payment details up to date, including changes of address, bank or e-wallet. Intentionally incorrect information is a breach of these terms.

5. Age Restriction: 18+ Only

You must be 18 or over to open an account and gamble. Routine identity and age checks are carried out to prevent underage play.

If an account is found to belong to a person under the legal age:

  • the account is suspended immediately;
  • all pending deposits and withdrawals are frozen;
  • any winnings or bonuses are null and void;
  • the net amount the player deposited, excluding winnings, is refunded to the original payment method as soon as practicable.

6. Dormant Accounts

An account becomes dormant after 12 continuous months without any player-initiated activity, such as logging in, depositing, placing a wager or withdrawing.

A dormant account is not closed, cleared or changed automatically. The balance, including remaining bonuses, funds and winnings, stays intact, and no administrative or dormancy fees are charged.

You can reactivate the account at any time simply by logging in. A withdrawal request from a dormant account triggers full KYC: valid identification, proof of address and verification of the original payment method. Full access to funds, bonuses and account features returns once that check is complete.

7. Deposits and Withdrawals

You choose your account currency at registration, and NZD is one of the supported currencies. That currency then applies to every transaction on the account. No credit is offered and no interest is paid on balances. Funds you deposit must be your own and legally obtained, and the payment method must be registered in your name.

Payment methods include credit and debit cards, e-wallets, vouchers and cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether (USDT). The cashier screen shows the methods available to your account, along with each method's processing times and limits.

Minimum deposit. The minimum deposit is 1 unit of currency or the limit set by the payment service provider, whichever is greater. In practice, the payment provider's limit often decides the figure shown at the cashier.

Minimum withdrawal. The terms currently list minimum withdrawal amounts of 5 EUR, 2 USD, 1700 KZT, 25 UAH and 100 RUB for all other methods, and some payment methods have different minimums. No separate NZD figure is published; the withdrawal screen shows the minimum that applies to your method.

Other payment conditions worth knowing:

  • a withdrawal can be refused in favour of the original payment method if you ask to withdraw to a different one;
  • deposits made by bank card, payment terminal, certain instant payment platforms or one-way methods that do not support payouts must be wagered in full before a withdrawal is requested;
  • if you deposit with Skrill, your registered email must match the email on the Skrill account, or the player account is locked until your identity is verified;
  • Paysafecard deposits may require copies of vouchers before a withdrawal is processed.

8. Tiered Withdrawal Limits

Withdrawal limits depend on your account's cumulative deposit history and risk profile. Accounts are placed into tiers automatically.

Tier Criteria Maximum withdrawals
Tier 1: New/Low Deposits Cumulative deposits below €500 €250 per week / €1,000 per month
Tier 2: Standard Users Cumulative deposits between €500 and €5,000 €500 per week / €2,000 per month
Tier 3: High Value Users Cumulative deposits above €5,000 or VIP status €1,000 per week / €4,000 per month (or by arrangement)

The tiers are defined in euros. For an NZD account, currency conversion is applied at the prevailing rate notified by the European Central Bank or by the central bank of the currency's issuing country, so NZD equivalents move with the exchange rate.

The operator can move an account to a different tier at its discretion without disclosing the specific reason. Additional limits or document requests may also apply under internal compliance procedures and are lifted once the review is finished.

9. The 5% Deposit Commission

This condition is unusual, so it is stated plainly here. When you withdraw, a commission of 5% of the sum of your deposits can be withheld if gaming activity on the account is lacking or considered insufficient.

For sports betting, activity may be considered insufficient when bets are placed on odds lower than 1.6. In other words, depositing and withdrawing with little play, or betting mainly at odds below 1.6, can lead to the 5% deduction. A separate 5% commission on deposits can also be withheld if an account is permanently blocked for fraud; previous withdrawals are taken into account when funds are returned.

10. Two Separate Bonus Systems

Sports bonuses and casino bonuses run under separate rules:

  • sports bonuses (bonus funds and Free Bets) follow the Sports Bonus section of these terms;
  • casino bonuses follow the Casino Rules appendix.

Do not assume that a rule from one system applies to the other. Each campaign also publishes its own conditions, and for sports campaigns the multiplier, qualifying odds, eligible markets and duration vary from one campaign to the next. Always read the specific campaign page before you opt in. Unless a campaign says otherwise, only one bonus campaign can be active at a time, and you can opt out in My Bonuses, which may cancel the related bonus funds and reset wagering progress.

11. How a Free Bet Works

A Free Bet lets you place a sports bet without using your main balance. The rules are fixed:

  • a Free Bet can only be used as a single bet; it cannot be split into several smaller bets;
  • its value is set by the campaign and cannot be changed, exchanged or transferred;
  • if it wins, you receive the net winnings, calculated as winnings minus the Free Bet value; the stake itself is not returned;
  • net winnings go to your bonus balance and remain subject to wagering requirements;
  • if it loses, the Free Bet expires automatically.

A winning Free Bet only counts for wagering if it has not been cancelled or cashed out, has not been re-settled at odds of 1.00, and has not been settled at odds of 0.50 on Asian Total or Asian Handicap markets.

12. Casino Wagering Contribution Rates

Only bets in the Slots and Live Casino sections count towards casino bonus wagering, and not every game counts in full:

Game category Contribution
Slots 100%
Jackpots 100%
Other 100%
Live Casino 10%
Video Poker 5%

Blood Suckers, Dead or Alive and all PG Soft games contribute 70%. A list of titles contributes 0%, including The Wishmaster, Pearls of India, Book of 99, Money Cart, Money Cart 2, Speed Crash and Bac Bo (Evolution); the complete list is in the Casino Rules.

Bets in Spribe games, the Instant Win and Table categories, and in other sections (Live, Sports, TV Games, V-Sports, Esports, BetGames, Poker) do not count at all. The terms illustrate this with €100: placed on slots it counts as €100, while the same €100 on video poker counts as only €5.

13. Calculating a Wagering Requirement

A wagering requirement is the total amount you must bet before bonus funds can move to your main balance. Each campaign sets a multiplier ("x N") and the base it applies to. The terms describe these models:

  • Bonus amount x N: the bonus amount is multiplied by N.
  • Deposit + bonus x N: the qualifying deposit and the bonus amount are added together, then multiplied by N.
  • Deposit amount x N: the deposit amount is multiplied by N.
  • Free Spins winnings x N: the winnings from Free Spins are multiplied by N.
  • Free Bet x N (sports): the Free Bet value is multiplied by N in qualifying bets.

Worked example of the formula: under the deposit + bonus model with a 10x multiplier, a qualifying deposit of 100 units and a bonus of 50 units give a requirement of (100 + 50) x 10 = 1,500 units in bets. This illustrates the calculation only; it is not an offer.

Contribution rates from section 12 apply on top of this, so €100 on live casino counts as €10. Your progress is shown in the bonus wagering widget in My Account. Some campaigns cap the amount that can be transferred after wagering; anything above the cap is written off.

14. Maximum Bet While Wagering

When a casino bonus is wagered from the bonus balance, the maximum bet is €5 unless the campaign states otherwise. Exceeding the limit puts the bonus at risk of cancellation. During casino bonus wagering you also may not buy in-game bonus rounds or Free Spins, and you may not bet on opposite outcomes in Live Casino or Table Games. If the bonus balance falls to €0.20 or below, the active bonus expires. Sports campaigns set their own stake conditions, which are shown in each campaign's terms.

15. Bonus Expiry and Forfeiture

Every campaign has a wagering period, which normally starts when the bonus is credited. If the requirement is not completed in time, remaining bonus funds, Free Bets, net winnings and winnings from bonus play can be cancelled.

After wagering is finished, the funds still need to be claimed with the Claim button. Wagered bonus funds or net winnings left unclaimed for more than 30 days can be forfeited unless the campaign states otherwise. Check the deadline on the campaign page before opting in.

16. Bonus Abuse Restrictions

Unless a campaign states otherwise, participation is limited to one bonus per user, household, registration address, email address, payment method, device or IP address. This is why a bonus can be refused or reversed even on a new account. Where abuse, collusion, fraud or multiple registrations are suspected, the operator can refuse or cancel bonuses, withhold related winnings, reverse withdrawals linked to the campaign, request verification, or suspend the account. Automated betting software and robots are prohibited.

17. Responsible Gambling Controls on Your Account

These controls are available in your account profile:

  • Deposit limits: daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Wagering limits: daily, weekly or monthly, covering the total amount you bet in the period.
  • Temporary self-exclusion: a deposit limit of 0 set for six months. The system will not let you remove it before the six months end.
  • Permanent self-exclusion: a deposit limit of 0 set indefinitely, which bars you from playing permanently.

You can lower a limit at any time, and the change applies as soon as you click Apply. You cannot ask for a deposit or wagering limit to be lifted before the end of its effective period. Self-exclusion can also be requested by written notice to support. If there are signs of a gambling problem, the operator may temporarily limit an account or start self-exclusion. Full details are on our Responsible Gambling page.

18. Independent Support

Help is available outside the platform. Our Responsible Gambling page includes self-assessment questions you can answer privately. For confidential advice in New Zealand, the Gambling Helpline is free and available 24/7 by phone on 0800 654 655, as well as by text, email and webchat. The Problem Gambling Foundation offers free counselling on 0800 664 262, weekdays 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

19. Operator and Licence

The website is owned and operated by Jade Reef Ventures Corp., registration number 42967, with its registered address in Belize City, Belize. It is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, under Licence No. ALSI-202410001-FI1.

This is the licence the service operates under. It is not a New Zealand licence, and New Zealand authorities do not approve or supervise the service.

20. Governing Law and Language

If a translation of the terms differs from the original, the English version prevails. The published terms do not contain a clause naming New Zealand law as the governing law, so do not assume New Zealand law governs this agreement. If the applicable law matters to you, ask customer support before you play.

Liability is limited to the value of the balance in your account, and the services are provided as an entertainment service.

21. Contact and Complaints

For questions about these terms, contact customer support by live chat or email at [email protected]. Support is available 24/7.

To make a formal complaint, email support with the details and supporting documents, or use the official Complaint Submission Form returned to the same address. Making a complaint is free, and only the account holder can submit one. Responsible gambling complaints are acknowledged within 2 business days, with a resolution aimed for within 5 business days. Other complaints are acknowledged within 7 days, with a reasoned decision aimed for within 4 weeks; this period can be extended once by up to 4 weeks with prior notice. For P2P and ante-post (pre-match) fixed-odds bets, a complaint can be submitted within six months of the settlement of the bet or the incident concerned. Live (in-running) bets follow the same six-month period, but prompt action may be needed where the investigation depends on time-sensitive data.
